At the top of the game in the hair styling world for many years in NY and LA , Mitch soaked up knowledge from photography royalty along the way from the likes of Nixion Binny, Herb Ritts, Albert Watson, Author Elgort and Peter Arnell to name a few.

Mitchs hair career was groomed by two of the industries' greatest hair sylists — Rossella Cuzenza, Owner / Creative director of Sebastian International and Max Pinnell, a legend in the fashion / celebrity world.

Mitch grew up outside of Malibu, CA, where his father was a photographer and had a dark room in his childhood home. He was shooting for a hobby as a young man, not realizing it would lead someday to such an exciting and awarding profession.

Mitch earned a degree at Santa Monica college in Photography in 1998 with an emphasis in understanding light, film and digital mediums. Mitch realized at an early age that photography was in his blood, and an easy transition from all he learned doing countless hair campaigns.

His hair styling experience mixed with what he learned from his Father and Photo School, transpired into shooting for Hair Care and Make Up brands, as well as beauty magazines and celebrities.

Mitch's clients have said that he has a special gift of intuition and a highly trained eye. They claim to always get something special, highly unique and hugely impactful for their brand. Mitch has always said his greatest compliment was how many clients have told him how hard it was to edit the film because “he captures too many beautiful images to choose from”

“I realized while working on sets how hard it was for directors and photographers to marry the elements of hair, lighting and photography. To truly understand hair and how it moves and reacts..while capturing the perfect shot. I found myself often times directing with the director, or wishing I was the one shooting to capture that perfect shot“ — Mitch
